Blossoms & Beaus is a gift and lifestyle boutique based in Georgia, United States. Its wide-ranging collection includes women’s and men’s apparel, jewelry, baby products, home décor, fragrances, tabletop pieces and seasonal gifts. The store also offers registries and personalized assistance for customers looking for the right gift for a special occasion.
Whether someone is shopping for a wedding present, updating their home or choosing something for a loved one, the Blossoms & Beaus team aims to make the experience welcoming and personal. But once a first-time shopper had completed their purchase, the team needed a stronger reason for them to return.
For Store Manager Ava Maxwell and the Blossoms & Beaus team, the answer was not a complicated retention system. It was a straightforward omnichannel points program that customers could understand immediately.
Blossoms & Beaus offers products for many moments in a customer’s life, from clothing and jewelry to baby gifts, home accessories and wedding registries. Its selection gives shoppers plenty of reasons to visit, but the team found that many customers still completed one purchase without returning.
“We found it difficult to encourage repeat customers, and many customers would buy once and not come back. We wanted a simple way to build customer loyalty without overcomplicating the process.”
The team wanted to strengthen customer retention, but it did not want to introduce a program that would make shopping or store operations more complicated. For a boutique where personal service is central to the experience, loyalty needed to feel just as approachable.
The objective was clear: give customers a meaningful reason to return while keeping the program easy to understand, promote and manage.

Blossoms & Beaus chose points and rewards as the foundation of its loyalty program.
“Our most successful system is the points and rewards system. Customers enjoy earning points and redeeming rewards. This gives an incentive for them to keep coming back to build their points to earn exclusive rewards.”
The simplicity of the program is one of its strengths. Customers do not need to learn a complicated system or navigate multiple types of benefits. They can quickly understand what they earn, what their points are worth and how to use them.

But for Blossoms & Beaus, simplicity also meant making the program available throughout the full customer journey.
The boutique serves customers through both its Shopify website and its physical store in Georgia. By connecting BON Loyalty with Shopify POS, Blossoms & Beaus allows members to earn and redeem points regardless of where a purchase takes place, which creates an effortless experience across channels.
This also gives store associates an active role in the loyalty experience. During checkout, the team can remind returning shoppers about available rewards or introduce first-time customers to the benefits of joining.
Instead of loyalty operating quietly in the background, it becomes a useful part of the interaction between the store team and the customer.
“The program has helped increase customer engagement and has given our team an easy way to start conversations with first-time shoppers about returning to the store.”
Blossoms & Beaus has seen loyalty become an important part of its customer retention strategy.
Over a 12-month period, the program delivered remarkable results:
Before the loyalty program, customers typically made around four purchases per year. Since its launch, loyal customers have averaged approximately 6–12 purchases annually.
“BON Loyalty has helped increase our repeat purchases and improve customer engagement. We have noticed that customers are more likely to come back when they know they are earning rewards, and the loyalty program has become an important part of our customer retention strategy.”
Ava recommends focusing on three things:

Blossoms & Beaus shows that a loyalty program does not need to be complicated to support long-term customer relationships. It needs to be clear, valuable, and consistently visible throughout the shopping journey.
