Data to import

When migrating to BON, it’s important to ensure that your customers’ loyalty points are accurately transferred to the new system. BON will provide close support throughout the import process to ensure the points are correctly transferred and meet your expectations when you launch.

Here’s what we’ll need from you:

  • Customer Identifier: You’ll need to provide a unique identifier for each customer, such as their email or Shopify ID.
  • Points Balance: You can either provide a fixed points balance to be imported for each customer or export the current points balance from your old loyalty app. 

If you’re unable to export the points balance, please contact the support team of your previous app to assist with the export.

BON’s team will work closely with you to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible and that your customers’ points are correctly transferred and displayed in the new system.

Preparing your data for migration

To begin the migration process, you’ll need to prepare a CSV file containing the customer information. The CSV should include the following columns:

  • Email: The email address of each customer (this is the essential identifier for migration).
  • Points Balance: The current points balance for each customer.
  • Shopify ID (Optional): This is an optional field, but including the Shopify ID will help speed up the import process. However, just the email address is sufficient to complete the migration.
