Welcome to BON Loyalty! In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through setting up your loyalty program in no time. By the end, you’ll have a fully functional program that motivates customers and enhances engagement. Let’s get started!
What is the BON Loyalty Program?
BON is an application that helps you set up a point-based loyalty program where customers earn points for actions like signing up, shopping, referring friends, or reaching VIP status. They can redeem points for rewards like discounts, free shipping, or free products. BON works smoothly with both online stores and in-store POS systems.

Step 1: Set Up Earn Points Rules
Encourage your customers to engage with your store by offering points for specific actions. Here’s how to configure the basics:
- Log in to your BON Loyalty App.
- Navigate to the “Point programs” > “Earn points” tab
- Set up earning actions:
- Complete an order: Define how many points customers earn per dollar spent. For example, $1 = 5 points (5% cashback equivalent).
- Create an account: Offer a bonus for creating an account, e.g., 50 points.
- Happy birthday: Celebrate your customer’s birthday with extra points, e.g., 100 points.
- Optional: Enable actions like following on social media or leaving reviews for additional engagement.
- Save your settings and ensure the rules are clear to customers.

Step 2: Set Up Redeem Points Rules
Make it easy for customers to use their points and feel rewarded.
- Go to the “Redeem Points” tab.
- Define your redemption rules:

- Consider offering tiered rewards, such as:

- Ensure your points align with your profit margins and encourage repeat purchases.
- Test the redemption process to confirm everything works smoothly.
Step 3: Launch Your Loyalty Program
- To activate the BON app > Navigate to Settings > Turn On the program.

2. Next, follow these steps to ensure the widget is visible on your store:
Navigate to your Shopify Settings > Sales Channel > Online Store > Themes

3. Click the ‘Customize‘ button on your current theme.

In the theme customization section:
- Click on the App Embeds icon
- Turn on the switch to activate the BON widget

4. Click ‘Save‘ to complete the process.

Make sure your customers know about the exciting new loyalty program!
