In BON Loyalty, merchants can set up many earning point options that relate to social media. This will help to incentivize customers to engage with their brand on these platforms, increase brand awareness, and drive customer retention.
Where can I find these options?
To find all available earning point options, go to Point program > Click Setup button for Earn Points > Choose the “Social Media” type.
How to edit these options:
Click on the Edit button of each Social media
- Choose Activate/ Deactivate at Status drop-down menu.
- Enter the required information for each earning option.
- Choose the point amount to reward customers.
- Follow on Instagram:
- Follow on Twitter: This requires your Twitter account’s user name:
- Retweet: You can find the link the Twitter’s post on the link bar:
- Share on Twitter: The URL for this rule can be found on the link bar, similar to the image above
NOTE: With all sharing , you can set a time range for it to appear. Customers cannot see this option if the effective date is from the past or from the future.
You can also reset this feature with a new effective date range.

Important note:
Major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok,..etc) have policies that prohibit third-party applications from accessing their systems.
As a result, any reward options related to social earning cannot rely on the actual actions of the customers, whether they’ve followed or shared yet. Instead, the system can only reward – based on the actions of customers clicking on the action button.
When customers click on the button, the social media page will pop up – for customers to do the following action.
After customers earn points for that action, it will disappear from the widget. Therefore, social media earning actions are one time used only.
