It is crucial to display your loyalty program in your customers’ preferred language. A loyalty program presented in customers’ native language enhances their understanding and engagement with your brand. It creates a sense of familiarity, inclusivity, and overall improves the overall user experience.
Here are steps to enable multiple language display in BON:
1. Add and publish languages in Shopify admin:
In Shopify Admin, go to Settings > Languages > Click on “Add language” button. And then, for that language to appear in your web store, click to Publish > Save.
After the languages are added successfully, Shopify will automatically install the “Translate & Adapt” app into your app list.
Also, a language selector will also be added to your store theme, by Shopify:
Or you can manually enable it, by going to your published theme > Customize > Find and activate the option in the Footer section.
2. Add the new language(s) to BON:
Now, you’d need to go to BON > Settings > add all the languages that you’ve set up previously to BON > click Save:
Which content can I display in multiple languages?
Here is all the content of BON’s loyalty program that you can display in multiple languages. In each tab, click on each section for more details:
- Widget icon: Title
- Widget text
- Loyalty page
- Email content
Note: The default language will be updated to your store’s main published language.
However, you will need to translate manually from English content. Below are the 10 most-used languages which will be translated automatically:
- French
- Spanish
- Japanese
- Dutch (Standard)
- German (Standard)
- Italian
- Turkish
- Portuguese
- Chinese – Traditional
- Chinese – Simplified
The pink highlighted language box indicates the language you are setting the content for.
Click on other language boxes to change between those:
