1. Activate Customer accounts setting:
First of all, in order for the “Create an account” option to work properly, you will need to activate this setting in Shopify:
- Go to Shopify > Settings > Checkout and accounts

- Scroll down to find Customer account > Click on “Edit” button
- Tick the setting “Show login link in the header of online store and at checkout”
- Choose the Classic customer account types
- Click Save
Note: The customer account is not required. However, only customers with an account can enjoy the benefit of BON’s loyalty program – as a member.
2. How to enable “Create an account” option
- Go to Apps > BON Loyalty > Points Program > Click Setup button in Earn Points
- Click Edit button in “Create an account” option
After setting up the point amount you want to reward your customers for this action, click on the Status menu > select “Active” > click Save:
3. How “Create an account” rule works
After you’ve activated the rule, it will show on the widget or loyalty page. Here are all the customers who can earn reward for the “Create an order” rule:
- New customers when they sign up.
- Customers who already have an account (before you install BON) when they sign in one more time.
- Added customers by the merchant in Shopify, only after they’ve confirmed their account through email.
- Added customers by the staff in Shopify’s POS device.
Note: All customers can only earn this reward once.
